Nabilah Islam Parkes

Nabilah Islam Parkes was the first Muslim and South Asian woman elected to the State Senate in 2023. She is an advocate for working families, lower drug costs, and reproductive justice. Parkes is the daughter of working-class immigrants and is a lifelong organizer. This year, she will be the first woman to give birth in the Georgia State Senate while serving.
