Leigh Finke

Leigh Finke is the first openly transgender legislator elected to the Minnesota Legislature. She was motivated to run because of anti-trans bills state that would make it a petty misdemeanor for transgender girls to participate in girls’ sports. Finke was named as one of USA Today’s Women of the Year, which recognizes women who have made a significant impact across the country.
