Vote Run Lead Action is proud to endorse Kamala Harris for President of the United States

Vote Run Lead Action, a non-partisan organization, is making this endorsement to truly live our values. Vice President Harris has been a champion throughout her career for VRLA’s values of feminism, anti-racism, and democracy. At a critical time where our essential rights and the foundation of our democracy are under real threat, we must act boldly to live our values. She has a long record of protecting abortion rights and other reproductive health care. Harris understands deeply how systemic racism is embedded in our institutions. And she has repeatedly demonstrated her commitment to safeguarding democracy and expanding voting access. As the potential first woman, the first Black woman, and the first South Asian woman president, Harris has lived experience of how these values drive policies that impact our lives.

In endorsing Kamala Harris, we also recognize all of the people who helped create a moment where a mixed-race woman is running for the highest office in the nation. So many people helped us get here – those who challenged patriarchy and racism; made the bold decision to run for office themselves; organized, knocked on doors, and voted to show again and again that women deserve political power and will settle for nothing less.

We believe that Kamala Harris should, must, and will win the presidency. And we know that we need women and gender-expansive people as the majority of officeholders at every level of government. This is why Vote Run Lead Action continues to train and support women and gender-expansive candidates, including the 541 VRLA community members on the ballot this year.
