TRAINING and EVENT CODE OF CONDUCT:
Vote Run Lead Action (VRLA) is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive and affirming training experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, national origin, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants, trainers, or staff in any form. By attending this training, you agree to comply with Vote Run Lead Action’s Code of Conduct.
At Vote Run Lead Action trainings and events we do NOT permit:
- Harassing or discriminatory conduct related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, or religion. Harassing or discriminatory conduct may include, but is not limited to gestures, verbal or written comments, physical intimidation, or displaying offensive images.
- Sustained disruption of sessions, participants or trainers
- Displaying sexual, harassing, or violent images in public spaces
- Inappropriate physical contact
- Unwelcome sexual attention, including but not limited to, verbal advances or commentary, touching, or physical intimidation
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior
If a training participant engages in any of the above behavior, VRLA retains the right to take any actions intended to keep the training a welcoming environment for all participants. This includes warning the offender, or expulsion from the training with no refund, or other actions VRLA staff or trainers deem necessary to keep participants feeling safe and welcome.
VRLA staff or trainers may take action to redress anything designed to, or with the clear impact of, disrupting the training or making the environment hostile for any participants. We expect participants to follow these rules throughout the training.
It is of the utmost importance to VRLA that our training spaces are safe and welcoming for all participants, and we want to hear about it if someone makes you feel unsafe or unwelcome. You can report an incident to any VRLA staff member or trainer you feel most comfortable talking with. VRLA staff and trainers will respond to the situation and take action, if needed.
