Chief Development Officer
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for designing and executing VRL/A’s fundraising strategy to ensure financial health and sustainability. The CDO will secure and grow diversified revenue streams, strengthen donor relationships, and foster a culture of philanthropy. This role advances VRL/A’s mission through resource development and supports its vision for growth, with a preference for candidates experienced in fundraising for political committees and tax-exempt advocacy organizations. The position reports to the CEO and manages the Development Team and fundraising consultants.
Salary Range: The salary for this position is $221,021.
Location(s): Remote, based in New York City
Key Responsibilities: The CDO must have a strong understanding of the national political fundraising landscape, including the ability to navigate its complexities and adapt to the boom-and-bust nature of electoral cycles. They must also be skilled at crafting unique value propositions that effectively highlight VRL/A’s programs and mission.

Digital Communications Manager
The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for executing a holistic program across our digital properties. The Digital Communications Manager plays a crucial role in elevating the importance of women and gender-expansive people in office and showcasing VRL/A’s expertise and data to raising our profile. This role is critical to engaging and inspiring audiences while amplifying our mission across digital platforms.
The Digital Communications Manager will be a part of a five-person Communications and Data team and will collaborate closely with all departments at VRL/A, including the political, development, operations, and finance development teams. This position reports to the Director of Communications.
Salary Range: The salary for this position is $86,600.00.

Key Responsibilities: The Digital Communications Manager will collaborate with the Director of Communications to shape and execute VRL/A’s social media strategy, drive audience engagement, and develop compelling content. They will lead email campaigns, overseeing strategy, drafting, segmentation, and automation, while also guiding event marketing efforts, including registration, swag management, and ensuring brand consistency. Additionally, they will manage website updates, including news and press releases, and track digital performance to inform and optimize overall strategy.
