Chief Development Officer
The Chief Development Officer (CDO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for designing and executing VRL/A’s fundraising strategy to ensure financial health and sustainability. The CDO will secure and grow diversified revenue streams, strengthen donor relationships, and foster a culture of philanthropy. This role advances VRL/A’s mission through resource development and supports its vision for growth, with a preference for candidates experienced in fundraising for political committees and tax-exempt advocacy organizations. The position reports to the CEO and manages the Development Team and fundraising consultants.
Salary Range: The salary for this position is $221,021.
Location(s): Remote, based in New York City
Key Responsibilities: The CDO must have a strong understanding of the national political fundraising landscape, including the ability to navigate its complexities and adapt to the boom-and-bust nature of electoral cycles. They must also be skilled at crafting unique value propositions that effectively highlight VRL/A’s programs and mission.

Georgia State Director
The Georgia State Director is a strategic leader with extensive political experience at both grassroots and statewide levels. This role requires the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and drive measurable, impactful results. The Director will oversee programming, training partnerships, and the RUN/51 project, a key initiative to transform state legislatures into women-led majorities. The position reports to the National Director of Field Strategy and works closely with other organizational leaders to ensure the success of VRL/A’s mission in Georgia.
Salary Range: The salary for this position is $102,700.
Location(s): Remote, based in Georgia
Key Responsibilities: The Georgia State Director will coordinate with the National Director to determine state priorities, allocate resources, and manage VRL/A’s programming, including the RUN/51 Project. The Director will build and strengthen partnerships across the state to develop a pool of women candidates and campaign leaders, while overseeing training and data collection efforts. Additionally, the Director will manage staff, support fundraising, ensure financial and programmatic goals are met, and represent VRL/A in communications, all while promoting an anti-racism approach in all initiatives.
