Yanira Gurrola

Yanira Gurrola serves District 16 in Albuquerque’s Westside, where she has resided for 16 years, after immigrating to this country in 2000. Leaving behind an engineering career, Gurrola commits her life to education, and uplifting the lives of students and their parents. Gurrola is a champion for education in the State House, grounded in her lived experiences and those of whom she teaches.
