Anquam Mahamoud

Anquam Mahamoud was one of the state’s first case workers for the Affordable Care Act, having begun working at 15 to alleviate the financial burden of her mother. She keeps her family’s journey through poverty, and that of her neighbors, in mind as she advocates for decent affordable healthcare, education, and housing at the Capitol. She is a lifelong renter.
