Brenda Carter

When first elected to the State House, Brenda Carter went to work right away establishing five task force groups to tackle important issues in her district. As a direct result of this work, she founded and co-chaired the bipartisan Poverty and Homelessness Caucus to combat poverty and homelessness in Michigan. Carter is the first woman to represent her district.
